There are two excellent sandy beaches very near to our condo.  Anne's Beach shown below is a public beach about 1/2 mile south (easy walk or we have 4 bikes to ride). It features two parking areas connected by a long boardwalk that meanders through the mangroves and sand with trails that wander off to the water.  It's a great spot to spend an afternoon with the family or an early morning walk.  There are covered picnic tables with views of the ocean as well as bathroom facilities.

In addition to Anne's beach above, there is another and much longer beach, called Sea Oats Beach shown below which is only 300 feet from our condo. While relaxing on the beach it's not unusual to see a fisherman wading by or a flats skiff poling by. This is a great beach for snorkeling, kiteboarding and windsurfing as well as fishing and walking along looking for sea shells or coins from a long ago ship wreck.
